Are You Stressed?
Educate Yourself with Biofeedback and Reduce Underlying Stress

The National Institute of Health says 80% OF ALL MEDICAL CONDITIONS ARE CAUSED BY STRESS. Biofeedback is a useful holistic tool that provides information to help you learn about the underlying stress that interferes with your health and wellness. By reducing and removing stress levels in your body, you can rebalance your life, take control of your health, and achieve your wellness goals.

What Is “Stress” and What Are “Stressors”?

Stress to the body can result from a number of factors, “stressors”, including but not limited to: allergens, bacteria and viruses, chemicals, dehydration, emotional issues, employment, exercise, foods, financial problems, fungi and fungal infections, headaches and migraines, heavy metals, heredity, irradiation of foods, lack of sleep, low self-concept, medical conditions, diseases or disorders, microwave radiation, nutritional deficiencies, overwork, pain, parasites, prescription drugs, psychological conditions, diseases or disorders, relationship issues, toxins, and many others.

Stress is not necessarily negative. Some stress keeps us motivated and alert, while too little stress can create problems. However, too much stress can trigger problems with mental and physical health, particularly over a prolonged period of time. Excess stress is the pathway to disease.

Most people who lead busy lives already know the answer to ‘What is Stress’, but for the rest of you - here are a few definitions:

  1. Stress is defined as a nonspecific response of the body to any demand made upon it which results in symptoms such as rise in blood pressure, release of hormones, quickness of breath, tightening of muscles, perspiration, and increased cardiac activity.
  2. Any experience that taxes an individual's energy or well-being; stress may be physical, mental, or emotional.
  3. Tension (Psychology): a state of mental or emotional strain or suspense; “he suffered from fatigue and emotional tension;” “stress is a vasoconstrictor.”
  4. Physics: Force that produces strain on a physical body; "the intensity of stress is expressed in units of force divided by units of area."
  5. Mental or physical tension that results from physical, emotional, or chemical causes.

What Is “Stress Management” and What May Be Considered “Stress Relief”?

Anything that relieves mundane stress on a daily basis, such as relaxation, can help. When we discuss stress in relation to health wellness, Hans Selye, a Hungarian medical scientist, was the first to use the word “stress” in that context. His theory is that when the body reacts to stress, it creates an "alarm" response, which is what should happen. That means that your body is in good shape to react accordingly to any given stressor, hopefully appropriately and effectively in ways that relieve it.

If the stress continues, however, an “adaptation” state may result, where we learn to accommodate or bear the symptoms of stress by adjusting to them. This can, more positively, mean creating an increase in our tolerance to frustration and moving back into the alarm state, which relieves the stress, or, negatively, reacting with an accommodating adjustment that (temporarily) alleviates the pain of the stress but becomes a new holding pattern.

A physical example of this would be continually keeping your head tilted to one side because it relieves the pain in your neck, but does not remove or alleviate the source of the stress.

If the stress continues even longer, an “exhaustion” state is created that may lead to a weakened system. For example, if you keep your head tilted at a relieving angle to your neck for a few months or for years, the adaptation may cause other stresses.

This alarm/adaptation/exhaustion model fits all forms of stress, whether physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.

Obviously, reducing stress is key to well-being. Relaxation helps, but how do we know where stress may be hiding in the adapted or exhausted states physically, mentally, emotionally, or even spiritually?

With the help of Quantum Biofeedback, we can painlessly and non-invasively look at reactions to common stressors and begin to piece the picture together

What is BIOFEEDBACK?

BIOFEEDBACK TAKES A HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE OF HEALING by detecting and removing the fundamental causes of stress rather than treating specific symptoms using invasive procedures or prescribing synthetic chemicals.

We do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or psychological disorder or disease. We educate you about stress reactions so you can use your mind and body to bring about a level of wellness that can be maintained. In that respect, we are like a teacher who helps students use information for their own benefit.

We can help you help yourself~

Biofeedback is a non-invasive therapeutic technology that energetically scans and harmonizes the body’s stresses and imbalances, and returns your body to health by reducing the stressors that cause disease. Biofeedback is considered a treatment technique in which people are trained to improve their health by using signals from their own bodies. Physical therapists, for example, use biofeedback to help stroke victims regain movement in paralyzed muscles. Psychologists use it to help tense and anxious clients learn to relax. Specialists in many fields use biofeedback to help their clients or clients cope with pain.

Chances are you have used biofeedback yourself. If you have ever taken your temperature or stepped on a bathroom scale, you have received “biofeedback” information. The thermometer tells you if your body temperature is normal or not, and the scale tells you if you have lost or gained body (bio) weight. With this information, you can take the necessary steps to correct this condition.

Clinicians rely on more complicated biofeedback devices in somewhat the same way in order to detect a person's internal bodily functions with far greater sensitivity and precision. For clients, the EPFX Biofeedback system acts as a kind of “sixth sense” to allow them to "see" or "hear" activity inside their bodies.

Biofeedback Beginnings~

The word biofeedback was coined decades ago to describe laboratory procedures being used to train experimental research subjects to alter brain activity, blood pressure, heart rate, and other bodily functions that normally are not controlled voluntarily. This early research demonstrated that biofeedback can help in the treatment of many diseases and painful conditions. Some believe that biofeedback will one day make it possible to do away with drug treatments that often cause uncomfortable side effects in clients with high blood pressure and serious conditions.

Biofeedback Today~

Clinical biofeedback techniques that grew out of the early laboratory procedures are now widely used to treat an ever-growing list of conditions: migraine and other headaches, digestive system disorders, high and low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmias, circulatory issues, epilepsy, paralysis/movement disorders, and many other maladies.

Specialists who provide a variety of forms of Biofeedback range from psychologists, medical doctors, dentists, chiropractors, internists, nurses, physical therapists, naturopaths, and veterinarians to energy medicine practitioners, Certified Biofeedback Specialists (CBS), and many others.

Welcome to the EPFX!

1. The harness is attached to the client's head, and straps are attached to wrists and ankles simultaneously as illustrated by this diagram.

2. Harnesses are connected to the EPFX - the biofeedback device.

3. The EPFX is connected to the computer.

4. Harnesses may be attached to the client at the area of the condition being treated. The client may also be treated using probes, mats and other accessories which are connected to the EPFX.

How does that help?

The EPFX communicates with the body to determine what energy imbalances are most affecting the health. Reactions to foods, chemicals, or other substances are revealed and further investigated through personal interviews, and other programs and screens within the EPFX. The investigation may locate patterns or specific past experiences. For example, if someone has digestive problems, a previous virus, possibly in childhood, may be found to be the source of an existing condition.
So you just use the EPFX to identify problem areas?
There are many programs on the EPFX. After measuring the body's frequencies, the EPFX can be employed to feed back appropriate healing frequencies to neutralize or redress destructive wave patterns. In some cases, the device may add frequency, in others reverse it to either enhance or counteract the body's own resonances.
Can it help prevent disease?
In the field of energetic medicine, any disease or poor health syndrome can be redefined as a disruption or distortion arising in the informational energy field. Besides addressing health problems, the device can also be used for the prevention of health problems by detecting problems in the energetic field before they materialize physically. These imbalances at the energetic level can be an early warning system. If imbalances go uncorrected, eventually physical symptoms will erupt and health problems and disease develop.

The EPFX has the ability to successfully address even the most complex and troublesome cases for all ages. This one biofeedback stress reduction system is a specialized form of energy medicine, which has created an avenue forward into a chemical and toxic free, non-invasive healthcare alternative.
